Fredericksbug
Fredericksburg, an independent city with roughly 28,000 residents, is the southernmost city in the Northern Virginia region. The falls of the Rappahannock River, which marked the beginning of the frontier in colonial times, today offer a picturesque escape to outdoor activities and rich history. Colonial-era Fredericksburg was one of Virginia’s most prominent ports. During the Civil War, its location half-way between the wartime capitols made it strategically important to both armies.
